    i think it’s rather because in second and third we’re in its head, we can read what it’s thinking

      He closes his eyes only on the third panel. We never follow him into his head. I wager it’s more a perspective/mood shift

        look at the speech bubble compared to the thought bubble.

        It’s not speaking. We “follow it into its head”
