Probably same as how Netflix does it?
All is meant to be everything, local exists for what you are talking about.
I use both, OSMand is way better but slow and not simple - if I was going to recommend an app I would recommend organic as OSMand would probably be too much for most, and too confusing.
Can you link your note here? I might look over the area and do some of the notes. There probably isn’t any mappers ever looking at the area if there’s a bunch of really old notes.
I knew it was unmaintainable, but it still worked. Nice to see there’s a fork.
I use https://github.com/casualsnek/onthespot . it works well but requires a Spotify account.
Now just have to wait for the android update, it’s been almost 3 months since new map data
See my reply to granolabar above
I can edit the map, and I do often, but I haven’t gotten around to updating the shops yet.
Bike route directions are way better than gmaps, in my area the main thing is the shops shown not being up to date
I didn’t know omaps used system tts, you can try https://github.com/RHVoice/RHVoice I’ve not used it with omaps but it is good for what I have used it for. It is on F-droid and google play
Does OSMand also have a wiki page?
Sounds good
Hopefully this gets somewhere, maybe even with support for both.
Rather the opposite.
Correct someone else’s area
Osmand is decent, although a little slow. Make sure to download it from f-droid as you get the paid features for free that way. Also you can get hourly updates if you sign in with osm and have made a few edits.
