  • It’s 2032. The Democratic ticket is Mike Pence and J.D. Vance. Their key issue is immigration, where they argue that immigrants should be sent to labor camps instead of exterminated. They are easily defeated by Trump, who’s entire campaign consists of telling incoherent stories about celebrities until he trails off into a series of racial slurs. The Democrats believe they lost by being too soft on immigration, but they’re optimistic that they can have a productive relationship with Vice President Benjamin Netanyahu.

  • The job post also notes that such a teleoperation center requires “building highly optimized low latency reliable data streaming over unreliable transports in the real world.” Tele-operators can be “transported” into the robotaxi via a “state-of-the-art VR rig,” it adds.

Sounds an awful lot like they’re going to need someone to remote pilot those cars when they get stuck. It also sounds like the system will have at least some latency, and will probably rely entirely on cameras, since Musk doesn’t build LiDAR or other non-visual sensors into his cars anymore! Anyway, sorry if that disrupts your, “I’m a sad dork who feels the need to defend the world’s richest man even though he makes hundreds of stupid, childish decisions that are clearly detrimental to the companies he owns,” agenda.

  • The worst thing for a tankie like me was running here to get away from the insane msn-pilled discourse, finding some actual leftists, only to have have leredditors chase me down sayin’ i am following them.

Uh…tankies and leftists are not the same thing (though the liberals on Political Memes don’t seem to understand the difference). Tankies are authoritarian-apologists. It was coined by British communists who wanted to differentiate themselves from pro-Soviet communists (specifically, communists who were defending the Soviets sending tanks into Hungary). In the modern sense, it’s used to describe communists who defend authoritarian socialist or communist states. If you don’t feel compelled to justify Stalinism, the Tiananmen Square massacre, or the Uyghur genocide, you’re probably not a tankie.
